A-aaa-rgh!!! I am so frustrated right now!!
I had so much planned for today. Silly me! I should know better really. The best laid plans and all that!!
I even got up fairly early this morning - just after 10am - and the day stretched deliciously ahead of me then. Oh yes! ... I'd design our promotional leaflet ... wait for the perfume delivery ... which was sure to be here by late afternoon ... then I'd go into town to buy some lovely ingredients for tonight's tea ... followed by my housework ... and I'd still have time to play with my daughter or, like yesterday, watch a film (probably the Wizard of Oz for the 500th time) with her!
So what went wrong I'm sure you're dying to know ... well aren't you? The so**ing delivery didn't turn up that's what! So I wasted my day jumping every time I heard a noise vaguely resembling a delivery van ... vaguely in the direction of my house ... that'll teach me! At least I got the leaflet done so I guess that's progress of sorts. Hubby will probably hate it though! The housework now looms ... I thought I'd be far too busy getting all our lovely new stock listed on ebay to waste any time hoovering the flowers and watering the carpet, or whatever it is I'm supposed to be doing!
It's too late now to go into town as the shops are shut. I can't be bothered to walk round to our local Costcutter's ... and where exactly did all this hot weather come from all of a sudden? I'm not prepared for it. Not at all! The curtains are all closed and the fan is on full blast, but still I feel a horrible trickle down my back! Yuk!
So here I am, tired, fed up and hot ... with no idea what I'm going to cook for hubby's tea tonight!! The evening now stretches not quite so deliciously ahead. The Wizard of Oz is of course still an option ... but it's already been on once today and, much as I love it, I think in my current state of mind, I'd probably end up screaming ... or throwing a brick at the telly!! Then the neighbours would probably come to investigate ... nope ... on second thoughts, I think I'll have a nice glass of wine and put it down to experience instead!!
We have to take our daughter to see the paediatrician tomorrow ... what's the betting the delivery turns up while we're out??? Bound to isn't it?

What a bloomin nuisance - I understand your frustration. I'm so sorry I've missed a couple of your blogs whilst running around. I'm glad hubby is on the mend and hope that the business takes off so that he can give up his horrid job. I'll have a look at your site as my perfume is hard to get (I think I'm the only woman in the world who likes it!)
What annoys me about deliveries is when you are expected to stay in between 7am - 6pm! So. We order, we have no life.
I'm sure the new business will soon be smelling of roses...

Oh dear, what a shame. Things are bound to be a bit up and down to begin with, hope it evens out soon.
That is so annoying and one of my pet hates!
It will take a little time to find your regular suppliers etc. I know myself when I order fabric/wooden blanks I soon discover who I can depend on and who to never use again.
Best wishes to you and don't take any messing!!
warm wishes

Waiting for deliveries is one of my pet hates too. It's like waiting for a phone call, you know as soon as you go out it'll ring. Hope tomorrow is a better day.
Very annoying and I know how frustrating it is waiting in for stuff. Thank goodness it wasnt me watching the W of O - I hate that film!
I hate deliveries that don't turn up and tradesmen that dont even bother to say they've had a change of plan...good luck with the shop.
Oh I hate days like that, so frustrating, and the 'what shall I cook for tea??' one, that totally gets me, it is the bain of my life, especailly as it is a long drive to the main shops from here.
Thank you for your lovely lovely comments on my blogs.
Hope all goes well with your daughter's visit today.

Yep it is they call it s..'. law. Poor you but one days delay is nothing in the scheme of things so all the best for when it does turn up I hope it will be a great success.
But I am now going to give you a very sharp telling off!!! The warm weather is wonderful I love it and can never get enough of it. DON'T scare it away PLEASE, PLEASE or the rain might come back in fact it arrived again this morning but I am full of hope it will be brief today.
Catching up from yesterday - I do hope today is going better than yesterday.
We too have to wait in for deliveries and yes they may be here any time during the day - life on hold . . . then nothing . . . pah . . .
Good Luck with Common Scents.
Love the name. I will favourite this and remember it next time I need a new bottle.
Enjoyed your site.

Hello! I found your blog this morning and wanted to tell you how much I can relate to the day you describe!
It reminds me of being a teen--waiting all day for the phone to ring from that "special" guy, only to realize that it wasn't going to happen... and I'd wasted hours doing very little.
I hope the rest of your days have been productive and much less exciting! :)
